Ben Carver, 83 Dies At Home
Ben Stewart Carver, 83 died at his Walker Park home last Saturday. He was born May 23, 1882 in Chetek, Wis., and had been a resident of Mason County for 22 years.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Batstone Funeral Home with burial in Shelton Memorial Park Rev. Warren Hale, a former minister of the First Baptist church, conducted the rites.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Carver, Shelton; two sons, Eugene S. Carver, of Albany, Ore., and Max Carver, of Beaver, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Abbie Wallen, of Snohomish, and Mrs. Helen Keenan, of Mossyrock; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
