A Pioneer of Mossyrock District Dies November 20
Mrs. Susannah Belcher, 85, died late Tuesday afternoon at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. S. W. Loomis, on south State street, where she had made her home the past 19 years. She previously lived in the Mossyrock district 20 years. Mrs. Belcher's death followed a long period of helplessness. Four years ago she fell and broke a leg. A short while after she had recovered from this injury a hip was fractured in another accident. Since that time she had been bedfast. Mrs. Belcher was born in McDowell, West Virginia, August 22, 1849. She is survived by two sons, Emanuel Belcher of Idaho and James Belcher of Centralia; two daughters, Mrs. Loomis of Chehalis and Mrs. F. C. Jennings of Gold Hill, Ore.; twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The body was removed to Sticklin's Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at the Mossyrock church tomorrow, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Carl Johnson of the Christian church will officiate.
