Succumbs in Hotel Room

The body of Charles Bonatto, 74, was found in bed in a room of a Centralia hotel early Monday and investigation was under way by Lewis County Coroner Elmer J. Olson and Centralia police.

The coroner and Police Officers Hershy Thomas and Ed Horst said preliminary investigation indicated Bonatto suffered a heart attack.

Bonatto was a retired Northern Pacific railway section worker and had lived in Centralia about a year. Olson said ralroad [sic] employe records were being checked in Tacoma to ascertain if the deceased has any relatives.

The coroner said Bonatto apparently died early Sunday.
