C. D. Prigmore

C. D. Prigmore, 76, former resident of this county, died from a stroke of paralysis on Thanksgiving day at the home of his brother, Rev. Joseph Prigmore, at Baldwinville, Mass. he had gone from the home of his son, George Prigmore, at Binghampton, N. Y., to spend the holiday with his brother. Mr. Prigmore was a pioneer of the Winlock district and of Pe Ell, where he conducted a hotel when the town was founded in the early 90's, when the Northern Pacific built its branch to South Bend. Later he divided his time between the home of his son, George D. Prigmore, Chehalis druggist, and the bend, Ore., district where he owned a wheat farm. Later he went to Portland with his son's family and three years ago removed with them to Binghampton, N. Y., where Mr. Prigmore has a position with the Agra-Ansco company.

Funeral services were held at Binghampton and later the body was shipped to Missouri to be interred beside Mr. Prigmore's wife, who died many years ago.
