Hezekiah Blankenship

Hezekiah Blankenship, 70 who had long been an invalid, died Friday evening at the family home at Ethel, where he had resided the past two years, having previuosly lived on Green Mountain, near Riffe, nearly twenty-five years. he was born in West Virginia November 27 1861. Surviving relatives are the widow, Mrs. Peggy Blankenship; two sons, Jaby and Albert Blankenship; a daughter, Mrs. Binney Blankenship; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren of Ethel; and a brother, Jacob Blankenship, who lives in Pennsylvania. Funeral services, directed by the Fissel Funeral Home, were held Sunday at Mossyrock.

Mrs. Myrtia Hager

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Myrtia Hager, wife of Lee Hager, whose death occurred Monday at the family home on Ohio avenue, after an extended illness. Mrs. Hager, who was 60 years of age was born in Iowa and had resided locally the past thirty-three years. She was a member of the A. O. U. W. lodge. Besides the widower, she is survived by two brothers, Ennis Mullis of Montana and Orville Mullis of Spokane; also seven sisters, Mrs. Minnie Wheeler of Chehalis, Mrs. Cynthia Archer and Mrs. Ethel DeFreece of Centralia, Mrs. Maude Norris of North Dakota, Mrs. Junia Giles and Mrs. Mandy Baird of Minnesota, and Mrs. Lettie Lint of Kansas. Rev. Carl Carl [stet] A. Johnson officiated at the funeral. Burial at Fern Hill was directed by Boone's Mortuary.

Mrs. Mary Sanders

Mrs. Mary Gertrude Sanders, wife of Charles I. Sanders, died at a Portland hospital Monday night, December 28. Mr. and Mrs. Sanders lived in Chehalis about fifteen years ago and made many friends. Mrs. Sanders was born in Gettysburg, Penn., March 18, 1868. She moved to Iowa with her parents when a samll child and lived there until she was about eighteen years of age. She then moved to Omaha, Neb., where she resided about thirty-two years. Mrs. Sanders, who later became an invalid, had lived the past five years in Portland. Besides the widower, Charles I. Sanders, she is survived by one brother, W. J. Fisher of Burke, Ida., and a sister, Mrs. Clara Raymond of Chehalis, route 1 Newaukum hill.

Funeral of Roy Andrews

Funeral services for Edward Roy Andrews, well known Chehalis grocer, who died Tuesday night of last week, were held at the Sticklin Mortuary Sunday afternoon. Rev Stanley G. Logan of the Methodist church officiated. The Chehalis Masonic lodge was in charge of the graveside services at Greenwood.

Last Rites for Mrs. Neville

Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Neville, who died at Oakland, Calif., Tuesday, December 29 were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Saturday morning. Rev. Father Joseph Schmidt officiated. Burial was at Claquato, directed by the Sticklin Mortuary. The body arrived Thursday afternoon and was removed then to the J. R. Imus home, where it is in state until Saturday morning. Pall bearers for funeral were W. C/O[?] Green, F. A. Green, T. M. Donahoe, J. E. Murray, M. B. McBride of Seattle and Cleor Hebriot. Mrs. Imus and Mrs. Frank Mary, daughter of Mrs. Neville; and her sons J. D. Neville, Chas. Neville and Wm. Neville arrived from Oakland Thursday. Wm. Neville left for his home in Oakland Monday. Mrs. Mary will return there later.

Porter L. C. Jones, jr.

Porter L. C. Jones, jr., 14 year old son of Porter Jones of Claquato neighborhood, died last Thursday evening. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Jones; five sisters, Mrs. R. C. Johnston of Chehalis, Tresa, Loraine, Betty and Mildred Jones; and four brothers, Gerry, Johnny, Robert and Oran Jones. The body was removed to Boone's Mortuary, where funeral services were held under Apostolic Faith auspices Sunday afternoon, Rev. Damron of Portland officiating. Burial was at Claquato.

Gustav G. Nelson

The death is reported Saturday of Gustav G. Nelson, 46 at Onalaska, where he had resided the past six years. His widow, Mrs. Hilma Nelson; a son, Ingeborg; and four brothers, Robert, Carl, Axel and Anders, all of Onalaska; and two sisters, who live in Sweden, are the surviving relatives. Funeral services will be held next Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Sticklin's Mortuary, Chehalis. Rev. Johnson of the Swedish Lutheran church, Olympia, will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood.
