DEATHS REPORTED THIS WEEK

Infant Bowman

Graveside funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Claquato cemetery for the two days old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Bowman, who died at the family home near Littell Saturday morning. Arrangements were in charge of the Fissel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Maude Nichols

Mrs. Maude Nichols, mother of Mrs. Joe Charles of Chehalis and Mrs. A. R. Reber of Toledo, doed at South Bend Monday. She was 64 years of age. Mrs. Nichols had lived in South Bend many years, being active in civic affairs. She had the distinction of being the only woman ever elected to the city council at that place. In addition to Mrs. Charles and Mrs. Reber, there is another daughter, Mrs. Dolly Freeth of Aberdeen; also four sons, Pearl, Carl, Claude and Claire Nichols, all of whom reside in South Bend.

David M. Cook

David M. Cook died Monday evening at his home at Onalaska, where he had resided several months, having previously lived near Bellingham. He was 75 years of age. Surviving relatives are the widow, Mrs. Frances Cook of Onalaska; a son, Chester Cook, who teaches in Seattle; and two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Tiffany of Silver Lake and Mrs. Bertha Hammer, residing in San Francisco. The body was removed to Boone's Mortuary, where funeral services were held yesterday afternoon.

Antone Balcunas

Antone Balcunas, 69 who had lived at Pe Ell the past 35 years, died Wednesday. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Agnes Balcunas; two sons, Antone and Benjamin Balcunas; and two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Kuznek and Mrs. Julia Kashiski, all of Pe Ell. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Holy Corss Catholic church. Burial in the Pe Ell cemetery will be directed by L. R.Cattermole of Winlock.

Mrs. Sophia Foster

Funeral services will be held this Friday morning at the Vader Catholic church for Mrs. Sophia Foster, 67 a well known pioneer of southern Lewis county, who died at a Portland hospital Wednesday. Mrs. Foster had of late lived at Hood River, Ore., previously many years near Vader. L. R. Cattermole of Winlock will direct the funeral, burial to be at Vader cemetery.
