The Dryad Classes Elect New Officers

Dryad, Sept. 23. - Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chrisman of Bellingham will visit Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stevens over the week end.

Sophomore class officers were elected as follows: Walter Sorg, president; Mildred Howard, vice-president; Margaret DeSpain, secretary; Sylvia Law, treasurer; Oren Bennett, sergeant-at-arms.

Two new students enterd Dryad school Monday. They are Osfer DeLano and Herbert Godfrey.

The Dryad seventh and eighth grades will have manual training and direction in sewing this year.

The election for the Dryad high school student body was held Friday. The officers are as follows: President, Raymond McMillen; vice-president, Laura Dokter; tresurer, Margarret DeSpain; secretary, Joyce Pederson; sergeant-at-arms, Donald Conn.

The dance at the Dryad Klan hall was well attended Saturday night by many local and out of town people.

Dryad high school has organized a football team. Mr. Hewitt is coach.

W. Benson, who has been seriously ill, is well on the way to recovery.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Rankin of San Jose, Calif., who have been visiting their brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. W. Benson, are leaving for home Friday.

Mrs. Fred Amundsen, who has been a visitor in Seattle the past two weeks, returned home Saturday.
