"Death Comes to Dave S. Shelton; Native Son of Centralia Passes Away at Home Near Chehalis at Age of 66"
Dave S. Shelton, member of one of the oldest families of Lewis county and a native son of Centralia, died this morning at his home on Route 2, Chehalis. He was 66 years of age.
The mother of the deceased, Mrs. Angeline Shelton of Seattle, is still living, and she too was born in Lewis county.
Other surviving relatives are the widow, Mrs. Kate E. Shelton; a son, Clarence E. of Seattle; a daughter, Mrs. Mattie Luman, of Medford, Ore.; a brother, Anson, and a sister, Mrs. Carl Stanley, both of Seattle. Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm at the Boone mortuary in Chehalis.
