Miss Emma Purcell
Miss Emma Purcell, 74 a well known pioneer of Lewis county, died Wednesday at Prosser, where she had made her home the past six years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Purcell, who were among the earliest ioneers [stet] of the Adna district. Most of Miss Purcell's life was spent locally and in Portland. Surviving relatives are three brothers, Bert Purcell of Randle, Ralph and Grant Purcell of Prosser. Miss Purcell's death followed a stroke of paralysis, sustained about a month ago. The body was brought to Chehalis for burial, arriving yesterday at Sticklin's Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sticklin Mortuary. Burial will be at Claquato.
