Pioneer Dies
Mrs. Ennie Scammons died at her home in Chehalis Thursday, Nov. 30, the cause of her death being old age.
The funeral was held Saturday, Dec. 2, the interment being in the Urquhart cemetery. Mrs. Scammons was born in Maine in 1824 and was one of the pioneers of Lewis county coming here with her husband in 1872. She leaves two sons, Forest of Chehalis and Robert of Ellensburg; and two daughters, Hattie of Maine and Mrs. Wm. West of Chehalis.
