"Cowlitz Pioneer Passes"
Frank Hefly, aged 82, died at his Cowlitz prairie farm Wednesday night. He had lived there the past 43 years. Had he lived until October 2, he and his widow, Mrs. Caroline Hefly, would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. Mr. Hefly is survived by the following children: Mrs. Catherine Bonnin and Mrs. Anna Spencer of Cowlitz; Mrs. Emma Stinson of route 2, Chehalis; C. C. Hefly of Cowlitz and John Hefly of Cinebar. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Cowlitz Mission at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, burial at that place, directed by L. R. Cattermole of Winlock.
