Study Death of Chehalin

Lewis county authorities said Saturday investigation is continuing on the death of Fred J. Schuster, 59, a long-time resident of the Chehalis area. He was found dead in his automobile about 10:30 a.m. Friday, at his home.

Dr. R. B. Maddox, Lewis county coroner, said an autopsy was scheduled Saturday to determine the cause of death.

Schuster was born on Oct. 29, 1898, in Maywood. He lived in the Chehalis area for the past 47 years and owned and operated the Schuster Sheet Metal Shop in Chehalis. He was a life member of the Chehalis Elks lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle, at home; a son, Donald R., of Salem, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Chowning, Portland; four grandchildren; three brothers, Charles and Rudolph, Chehalis, and Gilbert, Tacoma; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Kieszling, Bremerton, Mrs. Laura Myer, Tacoma, and Mrs. Agnes Pemed, Chehalis.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sticklin chapel, Chehalis, with the Rev. George M. Shuman officiating. Burial will be at Fern Hill with graveside services in charge of the Chehalis Elks.
