George Plant died at his home near Onalaska Monday night at the age of 84 years. He was a veteran of the Civil war. Deceased is survived by two sons, William Plant who resides in California and Fred of Onalaska; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jackson of Kansas City, Mo.; and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Holland of Portland. The body was removed to the Fissel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Fissel Funeral Home, followed by burial at Mt. View.
