DEATHS REPORTED THIS WEEK

Monday, August 10**, George Wright, one of the oldest pioneers of Lewis county, passed away at his home near Ethel. Deceased leaves a wife, three sons and six daughters to mourn his loss. Two of his daughters live in the middle states, Mrs.(Laura*) Frank Fuller of Mears, Mich. and Mrs. (Mary*) Jake Shockley of Skidmore, MO. Three more, Mrs. (Anna*) Frank Springer, Mrs. (Minnie*) Marion Mulkey and Mrs.(Olive*) Allen Hayner, live in Portland, Oregon. One son, Dell Wright, lives in Demoss, Oregon. The three remaining children, Mrs. (Alta*) Ed Gore, Walter Wright and Grant Wright live in the vicinity of Ethel. Deceased was one of the oldest men in the Lewis county. He was born in Pennsylvania, November 28, 1825**. In 1886 he moved his family from the state of Nebraska to Pasco, Wash. After a stay of three years, he moved to Lewis county, where he took up a homestead. He has made his home near Ethel ever since. Mr. Wright was well known and much loved, and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. Funeral service were held at Salkum, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment being in Salkum cemetery, Hill & Koontz in charge.
