Passes Away In Portland

Mrs. Hedwig Gorzelancyk, 91, a resident of Portland for the past two years, passed away Thursday morning at her home there. She had resided in Lewis county for 60 years before making her home in Portland.

The deceased was born Oct. 9, 1865, in Posen, Poland, and came to the United states 65 years ago. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and St. Joseph's Altar Society.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Helen Dieringer and Mrs. Agnes Ellis, Portland, and Mrs. Josie Baxter, Centralia; two sons, Steven J. Gorzelancyk, Bellingham and Andrew F. Gorzelancyk, Chehalis; 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Requiem mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m., at St. Joseph's Catholic church with the Rev. Timothy Moynihan officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Fissell mortuary of Chehalis. Rosary will be recided Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
