"Henry Elder, Pioneer, is Called Away"
Henry Harrison Elder, aged pioneer resident of Centralia, and one of the well known rancher residents of Lewis county, was summoned by death yesterday afternoon.
The end came while the old man was ill at his home, 116 North Washington avenue.
Decedent is survived by eight children and his widow. His death is the first death in the immediate family. The sons and daughters are Mrs. M. E. Bissett of Oregon, Mrs. J. Flaze of Walla Walla, W. C. Elder of Fort Dodge, Ia., H. F. Elder of Washington, kas., Mrs. Rena Darlon, of Yreka, Cal., F. H. Elder of Oreville, Cal., Charles F. Elder of Quincy and Miss Anna Elder, a teacher of the public schools of Centralia.
The funeral arrangements will be decided when it is learned how many of Mr. Elder's children can attend.
