Harry Payne Dies While East On Visit

Col. C. E. Payne received news Tuesday of the death at Trenton, Mo., early that morning of Harry Payne, 19, former well known Chehalis high school student, where he was active in basketball, who had gone there some weeks ago with his mother for a visit. Death resulted from pneumonia. Harry was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Payne and had a wide circle of friends among the local young people. His father, who left Chehalis Sunday, when advised of the son's illness, was at his bedside when death came. Burial was at Edinburg, Mo. In addition to the parents, other surviving relatives are three brothers, Arthur Payne of R. 2 Chehalis; Rev. Glenn Payne of Boston, Mass.; and Willard Payne of Trenton, Mo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Pinkerton of R. 2 Chehalis, Mrs. Walter Bethge of Chehalis and Mrs. Ottilie Selock of Trenton, Mo.
