Died, on Tuesday evening, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jane Shearer in the south part of the city, Mr. Harvey Perry aged 83 years of age. He came here from the East last October, to stop a while with his daughter's family. He was taken down with the LaGrippe a few months ago and was unable to rally very much after.

Mr. Perry was born in Hercules Co., N. Y., but removed to Ohio when fourteen years of age. During the Civil war he enlisted in an Ohio Regiment and served nearly three years, or until the close of the war. He was also a member of Anderson Post G.A.R., Teacott, Kansas.

Mr. Perry was married in Ohio to Miss Rebecca Lincaid and from this union there wre born unto them five boys and five girls, of these two boys and two girls are dead; of the living he leaves three boys in Kansas, and two daughters in Missouri, and the one in this city.

Mr. Perry was a member of the M. E. church some forty years and his funeral was held at his daughter's house on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. S. Pearson of the M.E. church of this city.
