Lewis County Pioneer Died in Chehalis

The funeral of Mrs. Jane Scott, the aged pioneer of Lewis County, who died at the home of Mrs. Robert Charlton in Chehalis Saturday morning, was held from the Presbyterian church in that city this afternoon. Rev. A. H. Chittenden officiated at the services and the interment was at the Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Scott was 70 years of age and was well known among the old-timers of this vicinity. Her husband, who died six years ago, was for many years one of the leading merchants of Chehalis. The deceased woman is survived by a brother living in Canada.
