Jennings McCollam
Jennings Blaine "Jack" McCollam Passed away at home in Toledo, Washington on February 12, 2009, after his long and noble fight with cancer. He was born on November 26, 1936 in Dallas, South Dakota to Bryan and Vivian McCollam. Jack was a 32nd degree Mason and a Past Worshipful Master of the Lakewood Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, a charter member of the Lakewood Elks, a Past Grand Noble of Tacoma IOOF, a member of the American Legion and an active member of the Cowlitz Prairie Grange. After retiring, Jack and his wife Marlene, Tacoma residents for 35 years, built the new family farm in Toledo where he lived out his final years away from the city, enjoying his family and friends, and working the farm with his John Deere. A remarkable man, Jack was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years Marlene, brother Darrell, daughter Julie, son Mark, grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, and Jonathan, and great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Tukker. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Cowlitz Prairie Grange in Toledo on March 28, 2009, at 2pm.
