James Ross Perkins
James Ross Perkins, 63, passed away this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Harper of route 2, Chehalis. He was born August 1, 1876 at Mt. Zion, Iowa, and had lived here the past five years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harper, and Mrs. Eva Stagers of Iowa; and adopted daughter, Mrs. Viola Steadham of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Regur of Hemet, Calif. and four grandchildren.
Mr. Perkins was a member of the Masonic lodge at Elma; the Eagles at Tenino and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers at Centralia.
The body is at the Fissell mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at Claquato with the Rev. Henry Coates officiating.
