New Mill at Klaber Ready to Begin Work

A new mill has been erected near Klaber, on the Chehalis river, which will be cutting lumber within a week or ten days. The new concern is known as the Klaber Lumber Company, the owners being R. H. Nodes and W. J. Redmond. Mr. Redmond has been engaged in logging operations the past few months, but prior to that time was connected with the Hill Logging Company at Bunker. The mill is 14 miles southwest of Chehalis, and the output will be shipped over the Milwaukee line. The plant will have a capacity of 25,000 feet daily. The mill has received an order for 150,000 feet of lumber to be used in constructing a new bridge over the Chehalis river near Klaber, with 500 feet of approach. The company has the right to 10,000,000 feet of timber near the mill plant, and there is at least 30,000,000 more available near. The mill will handle a large quantity of car material.
