"Death Comes to L. J. Jenkins"

Word has been received in Centralia of the death of Levi James Jenkins, 74, on July 12 at his home in Granada Hill, Calif. He was born Jan. 8, 1881 in Osage, Iowa.

Jenkins owned the former White Front grocery in Centralia from 1913 to 1919 and was a partner with his brother, Lloyd, for three years in the Jenkins Brothers' garage.

He is survived by his wife, Iva, at home; a brother, Lloyd, Centralia, and a sister, Mrs. Avis O'Larey, Centralia. Other survivors are two sons, Lee and Frank; a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Jones; several grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, all in California.

Burial is to be in Mountain View cemetery, Centralia, following private services and cremation in Granada Hills.
