Funeral for Laurence J. Pillette of Vancouver, Wash., will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.

Mr. Pillette died of emphysema Thursday in a Vancouver care center. He was 75.

He was born on June 24, 1917, in Cowlitz Prairie, Wash. He attended Adna High School in Adna, Wash., and served in the Air Force during World War II.

Pillette had been a Vancouver-area resident since 1950. He had worked as an electrician for 30 years in the paper mill industry until his retirement from the James River Corp. in 1980.

Survivors include his daughter, Theresa Larson of Vancouver; brothers, Alan Pillette of Langlois, Ore., Edgar Pillette of Bridge, Ore., and Hubert Pillette of Chehalis, Wash.; sister, Ruth Pillette of Chehalis; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to the American Lung Association of Washington in Seattle.
