Honor Mr. and Mrs. Ed Looper On Golden Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Looper of Centralia celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with an "open house" for about 50 guests on Dec. 19.

Mrs. Frank Ewers, a daughter served the three-tier wedding cake. Another daughter, Mrs. P. J. Pritzen, poured and Miss Elayne Brown served the punch. The gifts were taken care of by Mrs. Harold Looper while Mrs. Archie Schilt passed the guest book. Mrs. Clarence Badger assisted.

Mr. and Mrs. Looper were married Dec. 16, 1903, in Scott county Arkansas and came to Centralia in 1936.

The honored couple have three daughters, Mrs. Ewers of Centralia, Mrs. Pritzen of Longview and Mrs. Chris Nielsen of Portland and two sons, Carl of Burbank, Calif. and Harold of Medford, Ore. They also have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Harold Looper, Mr. and Mrs. Pritzen, Miss Brown of Chehalis and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Twining of Olympia.

Mary Jane Looper, daughter of Christopher Boyd and Elizabeth Harris, died in Centralia on 30 Apr 1957, age 81. Both are buried at Mountain View Cemetery in Centralia, WA.]
