Resident of Galvin Dies

Lee R. Gowen, 92, a Galvin resident for 42 years, passed away Tuesday night in a local nursing home. He was born June 6, 1863, in Wayne county, Mo.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ada Babb, Yakima and Mrs. Mattie Whiteman, Port Townsend, Mrs. Pearl Jennings, Galving, and Mrs. Edith St. Clair, Westfirt, Ore.; three sons, Jim A. Gowen, Advance, Mo., Clarence Gowan, Shelton, and Oscar Gowan, Coos Bay, Ore.; 22 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at Newell-Hoerling's in Centralia, with the Rev. I. J. Brame officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View.
