Leonard Troy Baker, a resident of Centralia since 1982, coming from Elma, died Thursday, April 16 in Centralia at the age of 85. Born Dec 23 1906 at Round Prairie, Minnesota, he had been a longtime sawmill worker and farmer in Grays Harbor, Thurston and Lewis county areas. He had been an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Virginia, at the family home; five sons: Daniel E. of Port Angeles, Robert J. of Federal Way, James T., Dale L. and Douglas E., all of Centralia; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd of Coos Bay, Oregon and Shirden of Eugene, Oregon; two sisters, Augusta Coch of Gainesville, Florida and Delia Zillyett of Montesano, and numerous nieces and nephews. Arangements are under the direction of Newell-Hoerlings Mortuary in Centralia. Burial was at Grand Mound Cemetery, Rochester.
