Death Takes Young Bride of Banker
Chehalis, Nov. 25.

Mrs. Mamie Alexander, wife of John W. Alexander the president of the Security State Bank of Chehalis died at the home of Sheriff and Mrs. Urquhart Wednesday night after a brief illness that followed weak health of some time.

Mr. and Mrs. Alexander had been married only two months, the wedding taking place in the east where Mr. Alexander went in September to claim his young bride. The greatest sympathy is extended to the stricken young husband who is connected with the best families of Lewis county, and his deep loss has cast a shadow in the home of every family who knew the estimable young couple.

Mrs. Alexander, who came from a highly respectable family in Illinois, was Miss Derlough before her marriage, and was a charming and accomplished young woman who made many friends after making her home in Chehalis. Mr. Alexander is related to the Urquharts and is the son of one of the most prominent pioneer families of Lewis county.

The remains of the decedent will be shipped to her home town in the east for interment in the family lot.

Preliminary services will be held in Chehalis.
