Pioneer Passes
Mrs. Marie Baxter, who passed away as the result of a fall, was one of Winlock's oldest and most respected citizens, and her death was the cause of much regret to the town, owing to her advanced years, no hope for her recovery was entertained from the first. Mrs. Baxter was born in Bradford Co, Pa., in 1823, being 91 years of age at her death. She was married in 1843. She is survived by four sons and one daughter. They are: Mrs. Olive Winters and Elisha Baxter, both of Los Angeles; Samuel Baxter, of Chehalis, and Ulus and Fremont Baxter, both of Winlock.
