"Mrs. Grafton Passes Away"
One of Centralia's longtime residents, Mrs. Mary Ellen Grafton, 82, succumbed in a local nursing home last Friday.
Mrs. Grafton, born July 22, 1873, in Lloyd, Wisc., had lived in Centralia for 55 years. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church.
Surviving Mrs. Grafton are two daughters, Mrs. George Weigert, Seattle, and Mrs. F. H. Maxwell, Chehalis; three sons, William A. Grafton, Seattle; H. R., of Yelm, and J. Q Grafton, Burlington, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Parish, Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 am. at the St. Mary's church with Father John Duffy officiating. Interment, under direction of Newell-Hoerling's, Centralia, will follow at Mountain View.
