The death of Mrs. Mary F. Davis, age 79 years, occurred Tuesday afternoon, August 29. Deceased leaves to mourn her death one son, Geo. W. Robinson of Lewiston, Ida., and one daughter, Mrs. F. M. Power of this city. Deceased was the wife of the late W.H.H. Davis, an early pioneer of this vicinity. They were the first settlers at Claquato, having settled there in 1850. Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church and also of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was highly respected by everyone. The funeral services were held at the F. M. Power residence yesterday afternoon, Rev. J. R. Monfort officiating. The Sticklin Undertaking Company had charge of the remains, which were shipped to Tacoma for cremation.
