Beloved Pe Ell Woman Dies
Pe Ell, Dec. 2. - Mrs. Mabel Burkett, 52, for more than thirty years a resident of Pe Ell and vicinity, died at the family home here Monday evening, following an illness of several years. Mrs. Burkett was dearly beloved by a large circle of friends, who mourn her untimely death. Surviving are the widower, Henry C. Burkett; a son, Arnold Burkett of Pe Ell; and two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Canon of Pe Ell, and Mrs. Ida Lee of Olympia; her mother, Mrs. Ida Ickes of Pe Ell; and three grandchildren. The Pe Ell Eastern Star, of which Mrs. Burkett was a valued member, will be in charge of the funeral services at the Fissel Funeral Home at Chehalis Thursday afternoon. Rev. Stanley G. Logan of the methodist church at Chehalis officiateing. Burial will be at Claquato.
