Funeral of the Late Max Kaestner

The respect in which the late Max Kaestner was held in the community was shown last Friday afternoon when friends and neighbors of thed eceased followed the remains to their last resting place.

The funeral services were held at the family residence, about one mile north of the city, under the direction of Rev. H. S. Black, of the Baptist church. The attendance was large, and the casket was almost hidden beneath the floral offerings sent by sorrowing friends. Mr. Black's remarks were impressive and approriate to the occasion, as were alsn the selected hymns. The remains were interred in the Butterworth cemetery on Ford's Prairie.

The following were the pail bearers: W. A. Albert, R. F. Ramsey, E. B. Towne, R. Waddle, Henry Juneman and W. F. Kelling. These gentlemen were the six nearest neighbors.

Mrs. Kaestner and her son, Mr. F. F. Kaestner, feel very grateful to the many friends who assisted them in their hour of trial,
