Death of Mrs. Backlund.
Funeral services were held at the Cattermole funeral home Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Backlund, 51, who died here New Year's day. Mrs. Backlund was born in Finland, coming to this country when very young. The family has lived in Washington 16 years; near Vader the past several years. She had been very ill several months. Surviving local relatives are the widower, Joel Backlund and one daughter, Miss Lillian Backlund. Her other relatives, including one sister, live in Finland. Rev. Hamalainen of the Finnish church conducted the services. Burial was in the Little Falls cemetery.
