Lewis County Pioneer Dies

Mrs. Mary McDonald died at her home at Napavine last week, aged 71 years. Mrs. McDonald was one of the pioneers of Lewis county, having located here in 1860. Mr. McDonald died several years ago. Mr. and Mrs. McDonald at an early day, kept a stage station at their home at McDonald's prairie, east of Napavine.

Mrs. McDonald's funeral was held Saturday morning at the Catholic church at Cowlitz and the interment was in the cemetery at that place.

She is survived by a brother, John Cutting of Tacoma, one son, H. D. McDonald of Napavine, and five daughters survive her. The daughters are Mrs. Francis Donahoe of Chehalis, Mrs. M. H. O'Connor of Portland, Mrs. A. L. Mattingly of Glendale, Ore., and Misses Katherine and Belle McDonald of this county.
