Mrs. Marie M. Saliger, aged 89 years, and one of the early pioneers of the county, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Charlesworth on Route 2, Chehalis, following a week's illness. The Saliger family was one of the best known of the pioneer families in this section. Deceased had lived here 52 years, coming to the United States at the age of 38 years from Austria, where she was born. She was a member of the Altar Society of St. Joseph's church. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Charlesworth; two sons, J. A. Saliger, Oakland, Calif., and A. B. Saliger of New York City; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
