Mrs. Mary Tauscher, another Lewis county pioneer, died Saturday afternoon, August 26, at the home on the north fork of the Newaukum river, near Forest, at the age of 58 years. Deceased was born in Austria, and came to the United States and to Lewis county 35 years ago. Besides her husband, Leo Tauscher, she is survived by eight children, as follows: Leo Jr., Mrs. Mary Warring of Centralia, Mrs. Anna Lawrence, Edward, Andrew, Rudolph and Francis. The funeral services were held Monday morning at the Catholic church, Rev. Father Duffy officiating. Interment was in Fern Hill cemetery, Sticklin Undertaking Company in charge.
