DEATHS REPORTED THIS WEEK

Garbriel H. Paul.

Gabiel [stet] H. Paul died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. H. Gray, in Kelso, after an extended illness. He was 80 years of age. Burial was made at Claquato cemetery Tuesday afternoon, beside Mrs. Paul, who died here in February, 1919. Mr. Paul resided in Chehalis about twenty years, being engaged in business locally. He was a pioneer resident of Cowlitz county, locating there 53 years ago, in 1878, when he came from Pennsylvania. He first settled at Freeport, on the west side of the Cowlitz river. For 12 years he operated a farm at Stella. Mr. Paul was born in Kingerstown, Penn., March 24 1857. He was married at Klingerstown before coming west. Mrs. Gray is the only surviving near relative. There are eight grandchildren. A sister of the deceased, Mrs. Lydia Ritzman, lives in the east.

Mrs. Grant Perry.

Mrs. Grant Perry, daughter of Sam J. Miller of Walla Walla, died in that city last week, following a two weeks illness of blood poisoning. Her mother, who died some years ago, was the former Miss Emma Welton of Chehalis. Mrs. Perry's body was taken to Vancouver for burial beside that of her mother. In addition to the father, Mrs. Perry is survived by the widower, an infant daughter; her grandmother, Mrs. Helen Welton of R. 2 Winlock, and numerous other more distant relatives.

Bryant M. Branch.

Bryant M. Branch died late Monday at his Cascade avenue home, following an illness of a month. He was 81 years of age and was a member of North Star Lodge No. 6 I. O. O. F., at Minneapolis, Minn. Mr. Branch had resided in Chehalis the past seven years. He is survived by two sons, Forrest E. Branch of New York City and Leslie Branch of Molalia, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. F. W. Cushman of Chehalis and Mrs. G. W. Brown of Seattle; nine granchildren and two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. M. Price of Alexandria, Minn., and a brother, John W. Branch of Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Fissel Funeral home under Christian Science auspices. Burial was at Claquato.

Miss Ann Jussila.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Fissel Funeral home for Miss Ann Jussila, daughter of Thomas Jussila, well known farmer of Crego hill district. Miss Jussila, who was 20 years of age, died Sunday afternoon, following a long illness. Other surviving relatives besides the father are a brother, Leo Jussila, and a sister, Mrs. George Maker of this city; also two other sisters, Mrs. D. S. Ticknor and Miss Jewell Jussila of Prosser. Rev. E. L. Kechley of the Christian church officiated at the funeral. Burial was at Claquato.
