Chehalis, R. 1, Jan. 18. - Mr. and Mrs. George Pier had as dinner guests Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Brown and little daughter of Bunker and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spitzner and son of Vader.

Hans Anderson had a peculiar accident last week. He was cutting kale when he slipped and fell. He struck his hand on the stub of a cut kale plant. The stub penetrated to the bone, making a very painful wound. His hand is getting better but he will be unable to work for some time.

Little Mary Stratton is slowly improving from a spell of flu.

Fred Meyer was surprised on his birthday last Thursday evening when some friends called, bringing him a birthday cake. The evening was spent playing cards and listening to the radio. Present were Mrs. Mary Johnson and daughters Gladys and Helen of Evaline, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meyer and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyer and daughter Edith.
