P. W. Rhodes

P. W. Rhodes, a pioneer of South Bend, died last week, and was buried Thursday. Old-timers will remember that about twenty years ago, a son of deceased was found dead near the bridge west of Chehalis where the South Bend branch line crosses the river. It was presumed at that time that the young man was knocked off a train, and was either killed by the fall, or was drowned in the high water. The family moved to South Bend about eighteen years ago.
