Two Pioneers of Dryad Summoned

Dryad lost one of her pioneer residents Tuesday in the death of Mrs. Louis Ratke, 65.

Mrs. Ratke had lived in Dryad 39 years. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Ratke; four sons, Charles, Aberdeen; Roman, South Bend, and Frank and Paul, Dryad, and two sisters, Mrs. Rosie Hickman and Mrs. Verona Girpwski of Dryad.

Funeral services are being held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. Josephs Catholic church in Pe Ell, with burial in the Pe Ell cemetery. The Rev. Methenski will officiate.

Another pioneer Dryad resident to pass away within the week is Joseph Karboski, 61, who had lived in that city 34 years.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Wanda Karboski, and five children, Helen, Joseph, John, Carl and Frank, all of Dryad.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Pe Ell Catholic church.
