FLU IS FATAL TO RONALD FISHBACK
Prominent Young Lewis County Rancher Passes Away in Centralia Hospital

Ronald M. Fishback, son of H. O. Fishback, state insurance commissioner, died in a Centralia hospital Saturday afternoon following an attack of pneumonia, the aftermath of influenza. His wife is ill with influenza in the same hospital.

Fishback was 33 years old and was born in Tacoma November 7, 1895. The family removed from Tacoma to a farm near Adna 29 years ago and the young man had made his home there since. Following the moving of his father to Olympia to become insurance commissioner, Ronald took over the management of the farm and had become one of the outstanding Jersey breeders of the state.

Besides his parents, he leaves his wife, Josephine, three sons, Ronald Jr., Robert and Malcolm; three brothers, Tom of Tono, Herbert of Olympia and George of Montesano and sister, Mrs. Bess Butler of Waitsburg.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Fissel funeral home in Chehalis, Rev. John M. Paxton officiating. Burial will be at Claquato.
