Rose M. Olsen, Napavine, Dies

Napavine, Sept. 11. - Many friends of the late Rose M. Olsen gathered at the Boone Mortuary in Chehalis Wednesday afternoon for the funeral services. She was born in Wisconsin, September 15, 1883, and came with her parents to this state in 1891. Mrs. Olsen was married to Clinton Olsen at Napavine 30 years ago September 15. Most of her life has been spent locally. Her death occurred Sunday afternoon at the family home following a three weeks illness. Mrs. Olsen was ever active in the work of the Rebekah lodge. At one time she served as district president. At time of her death she was district deputy of Trinity Rebekah lodge of Napavine. She also had served as noble grand for the local assembly. She was a loyal wife, a good mother and kindly neighbor.

Surviving relatives are the widower, Clinton J. Olsen; son Donald W. Olsen; her mother, Mrs. S. M. Cruson; two brothers Emmett Cruson of The Dalles, Ore. and Edward G. Cruson of Tuscon, Ariz; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Clark of Tenino and Mrs. Mollie Barnett of Napavine. Reb. Own J. Beadles of Chehalis Methodist church officiated at the last rites. Graveside services were conducted by the local Rebekah lodge in the burial park at Napavine. Sister Rebekahs who were honorary pallbearers were Gertrude Harris, Emma Slimp, Linda Wallace, Emma Morton, Grace Slimp and Mayme Shaddock. Active pallbearers were Robert Harris, Geo. Lange, Geo. Solomon, M. F. Marshall, W. G. Hawkins and J. R. Morton.
