Robert P. Hamilton Dies From Injuries

Robert Patton Hamilton, former local resident, died last Thursday morning at St. Helens, Ore., from injuries received about a month ago in an automobile accident. He was 75 years of age. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his widow, Mrs. Leah Jane Hamilton, and a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Ritter of St. Helens; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Waugaman of Chehalis; two brothers, William Hamilton of Chehalis and John Hamilton of Prosser; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Gilliam of Centralia and Mrs. Steve Gilliam of Wise, Va.; and four grandchildren. He was a member of the Chehalis Masonic lodge; also Afifi Shrine temple at Tacoma. The body was brought to the Fissel Funeral Home, where funeral servces were held Sunday afternoon. Rev. Stanley G. Logan of the Methodist church officiated. Burial at Fern Hill cemetery was under auspices of the Masonic lodge.
