Pioneer Passes On

Mrs. Selma Hilpert Wagner, 92, a native pioneer of the Centralia area, died Tuesday in a Centralia hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Wagner, born Dec. 23, 1872, on a Skookumchuck Valley homestead, was the daughter of August David and Magdelena Hilpert. Her father first came to the territory in 1858 and homesteaded 150 acres. The family still owns the homestead today. Funeral services are Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Sticklin chapel.
