Thos. Brown, the father of Miss Lizzie E. Brown, an old and respected citizen of this county, died at his home lst Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. the cause of his death ws due to old age, in conjunction with a fall he received nearly two years ago, and from which he never recovered. The funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon from the Catholic church, the priest coming up from Chehalis to officiate. The interment took place in Washington Lawn cemetery.

"Old Uncle Tommie," as has affectionately been called by his many friends, was born in New York state 81 years ago. In May, 1872, he came to Washington and settled on Lincoln Creek, being one of the oldest settlers in that district. He lived there until about seven years ago, when he moved to Centralia. In 1901 his wife passed away. He was respected and venerated by all who knew him and his bereaved daughter has the sympathy of all.
