NAPAVINE MAN DIES

William "Roby" Brown, 81, a resident of Napavine since 1921, died Friday in a Chehalis hospital following a lingering illness.

Born Aug. 8, 1884, in Ash County N.C. he was a timber faller with the Long Bell Timber Co. prior to his retirement in 1941. Mr and Mrs Brown celebrated their golden wedding aniversary in 1952.

Survivors include the widow, Rebecca E. at home; two sons, Lee Brown of Centralia and Jesse Brown of Vader; three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Brostrom and Mrs. Ethel Brown both of Centralia, and Mrs. Rebecca Nelson of South Bend; a brother, James W. Brown of Peach Bottom, Penn.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, 1 p.m. at the Sticklin Funeral Home, Chehalis. The Rev. Lloyd Thompson of Napavine will officiate. Burial will follow at Claquato.
