Walter E. Macomber

Walter E. Macomber, a resident of Lewis county the past 42 years, died at his home on Garrard creek near Oakville Sunday following an illness of many months. He was 53 years of age and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Macomber; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Mock of Oakville and Miss Beulah Macomber of Garrard creek; his aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Macomber, and two brothers, Howard and Harry Macomber of Chehalis star route, and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Lamont of Clarmont, N. H.

Up to 12 years ago, Mr. Macomber resided in the district southeast of Chehalis. He was engaged in the sawmill business for about eight years with the late David Urquhart. Later he operated an extensive dairy farmng [sic] business and became prominent as a breeder of Holsteins.
