Shower for Mrs. Donald Jones.

A newcomer's shower was held at the C. A. Randt home Friday evening honoring Mrs. Donald Jones. Mrs. Jones received many beautiful and useful articles. Dainty refreshments were served late in the evening to Mesdames Martin Stone, Kenneth Larkin, John West, Leona Morgan, Laura Harkins, Jennie Blum, Paul Jones, O. R. McCracken, V. M. Wigner, Frank Sager, A. G. Perella; and Misses Margaret Morgan, Evelyn Harkins, Sidney Darrah, Betty Randt, Eleanor and Dorothy Sager, the honor guest, Mrs. Jones, and the hostess Mrs. Randt.

Mrs. Limmer Is Hostess.

Mrs. Joe Limmer was hostess Wednesday afternoon to her bridge club. Mesdames Arvid Turula, Bert Johnson, Leland Lancaster, George Heyworth, Sam Woody, C. C. Jordan and Keith Benedict were present. Mrs. Benedict won high score at cards, Mrs. Woody consolation. At five o'clock lunch was served.

At the meeting Wednesday noon of the Girls' Athletic club, Miss Paula Jean Paxton was elected president; Miss Martha Lund, vice-president; and Miss Frances McGalliard secretary-treasurer.

A group of friends gathered at the R. W. Fletcher home last Wednesday to honor the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Fletcher. A number of gifts were presented her and also a beautiful birthday cake.

Mrs. J. Z. Leathers is enjoying a visit from her daughter, Mrs. Orma Watts and daughter of Los Angeles.

The following left Thursday for Pullman for the fall term of school; Lauri Lund, Ilmar Keto, Olga Wepsala, Sylvia and Walter Annonen, Worth Warne, Henry Mahncke and Eino Hanninen.

Miss Willyne Wilson left Saturday for Cheney, where she will enter the normal school.

Guest Wendland and Richard York made a business trip to Seattle Wednesday.
