Winlock Resident Settles Damage Claim

Winlock, Nov. 30. - The suit of E. Sellgren, local farmer, against the town of Winlock, in which damages to the amount of $5000 were asked for injuries alleged to have been due to neglect on the part of the town, were settled out of court. In August, 1930, Mr. Sellgren fell off the end of a sidewalk near the Webb building when a new addition to that structure was under process of construction. Mr. Sellgren contended that the city was to blame for the street being torn up and resulting in his injury. It is understood that Mr. Sellgren will receive $1750 for injuries and attorney's fees, the city to pay one-half and Dr. Webb the other half.
